WHAT IS KINDERMUSIK?

Kindermusik is a music and movement program with curriculum for children ages birth through seven years old.  More specifically, Kindermusik classes provide a holistic musical and learning experience in the critical first years of young children and their families.  This developmental program, guided by a proven methodology combining music and childhood development, provides opportunities to foster child-parent relationships and gain a lifelong love of music and learning.  It is taught by a trained and licensed Kindermusik educator. 

 

KINDERMUSIK PLAYDATES 

at Happy Up Inc. (formerly Once Upon A Toy Store) in Edwardsville!

A PLAYDATE is a “register and pay ahead” single “themed” 30-45 minute class for you and your children ages birth through 5 years old with required At-Home Materials for each family.  Registration fees include the class plus At-Home Materials (i.e. instrument or prop and Kindermusik CD or Music I-Card). One child registration fee is $12 with each additional child $3 each.

STARTING THIS SUMMER 2016 !

 Kindermusik's "Move & Groove", formally known as "ABC Music & Me", is an award-winning enrichment (early literacy and language) curriculum/program for preschoolers, was designed for early childhood learning centers/ schools. "Move & Groove"  is a research-based language and early literacy curriculum built around music.  This curriculum helps develop pre-literacy and language skills through a child’s most-loved rituals: music and storytime.  "Move & Groove" supports the early childhood standards and requirements for “high quality programs” as defined by the National Institute for Early Education. Plus, it  aligns with pre-K national and state standards. 

Curriculum Description

 Age Range: Preschool  (Maximum class size is 8)  
Class Structure:  New unit theme for each month; each contains four lessons

Class Length: 30-45 minutes
 

What You & Your Child Will Experience in Class

• Songs and rhymes to develop phonetic awareness and early reading skills
• Tapping, clacking, and ringing rhythm instruments in time with music to improve hand-eye coordination
• Focused listening with music to improve skills in following directions
• Instrument play to strengthen fine motor skills
• Developmentally-appropriate songs to develop vocal chords and expressive speech
• Learning that emphasizes storytelling, imaginative play, and taking turns

Registration Includes:

• Developmentally appropriate curriculum
• 4-week classes with 12 different monthly themes
• State-of-the-Art Monthly Digital At-Home Materials

Tuition: $65 plus one $12 digital at-home materials fee per family

KINDERMUSIK BIRTHDAY PARTIES!!

A Kindermusik Birthday Party Activity is great musical fun that your child will LOVE and you don’t have to plan! It’s approximately 30 minutes of a “mini-Kindermusik” class (i.e. music & movement with samplings of class activities) specially designed to be age-appropriate to your child. The party activity includes such fun as singing, moving, listening, dancing, circle songs, story time (a birthday book!), playing instruments, parachute play, etc. All music, instruments, props, etc used are provided for the activity.

Fees: $50 for up to six children ($7 per each additional child)  Deposit ($40) due to secure your date/time w/ balance due day of the party   (There may be a time/travel fee for parties booked outside the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon area.)   Please Note:  I do not schedule parties on Sunday.

Kindermusik One-Time Activities

I offer Kindermusik activities for children’s groups and have met up with play groups, preschools, and libraries to have some great musical fun with their children. Having a one-time activity is a great way to get a sampling of the Kindermusik experience before committing to a semester of classes!

 Kindermusik Parent Talk and Sampler Class

I also offer educational talks to parent groups about music and childhood development as they relate to the benefits of the Kindermusik experience. I then follow-up with a sampler class for the whole family. Your school or church may want to consider scheduling Kindermusik for their next PTO meeting or special activity.
